Winter has to be the hardest season to look chic in. With all the snow and frigid temps, it’s all about layering for warmth. Just because it’s cold doesn’t mean you have to skimp on style though. I always feel so much better when I pull an outfit together that I like. Starting with the right winter essentials is key. I almost always start with my outerwear first because depending on the temperature, I may be wearing a super thick jacket (that not every sweater will fit under) or I may be able to wear something not as heavy (which I always hope for!). On days that it’s not super cold, I usually reach for a biker jacket and this camel one is one of my favorites. I love pairing it with other neutral shades for an understated yet chic look. I paired it with my favorite chunky knit – which sells out super fast every time it’s restocked, but I found this super similar one in stock. I live in chunky sweaters in the winter. My final winter essential to complete any outfit is a beanie. Pom pom ..
It’s hard to believe Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, I feel like it was just Christmas. Valentine’s Day is a holiday I always look forward to because it’s a day to celebrate the one you love. Phil always does something over the top for Valentine’s Day – the last few he’s given me 100 roses and a bouquet of balloons. He did it one year and I kept saying how amazing it was so he’s just kept the tradition going and I look forward to it every year. He also gets me a couple of smaller items, but he has the hardest time. I always say I don’t want anything big, but then he thinks that doesn’t leave much for him to pick from. haha. One gift I always tell him he can’t go wrong with is perfume. It’s the best way to give a luxury gift without a huge price tag. I love getting and receiving perfume/cologne for Valentine’s Day. It’s a practical yet luxurious gift. I’m always up for trying out new scents, but the one I always go back to is Chanel’s CoCo Mademoiselle – it’s my favorite. Phi..
Had to share a before and after. What a crazy 10 minute transformation, huh?
One of the most frequent questions I get on Instagram is about my hair. I’ve done a few posts on my hair extensions in the past, but I realized I haven’t shared a full blog post on the brand I’ve been using for the past year. Since it’s my favorite (by far), I thought I’d share more about it and answer some of your FAQs. I’ve been wearing clip-in hair extensions for about 7 years. I’ve tried everything from the ones at Sally Beauty Supply to Bellami and my current ones – which are by Beauty Works. Each brand was a step up from the next, but Beauty Works has honestly been the best and looked the most natural. The hair is the highest quality and the colors are super easy to match with your own hair. I do get my hair balayaged to match – I see Alexa Rae at Haus Salon in Minneapolis.
Which Set Do I Wear?
I’ve been wearing the 22″ Double Set in the color ‘Mocha Melt‘ by Beauty Works. If you are interested in pur..
